What was it about?
Four-story building located in Overland Park, Kansas. The site conditions were very restrict and a prefab approach for the structure above podium was decisive in having the building going up.
What did I do?
Worked with Millet Engineering Group to reduce the overall cost for the project with proper floor system assembly and optimizing cold formed metal structure for better performance and efficiency.
What did I learn?
The coordination of ADA units for minimum clearance caused doors to have their location shifted after the fabrication process had started. That changed the sequencing of our design workflow for future projects.
